This year, the Dawsongroup finance team is doing something a bit different, we’re trading spreadsheets for paddles! On 6th June 2026, our team “DGF Dragons” will take part in the Dragon Boat Race in Poole Park, fundraising for our corporate charity partner, Forest Holme Hospice.
Forest Holme Hospice Charity supports specialist palliative and end‑of‑life care across Dorset, helping adults and their families with compassionate care, emotional support, counselling services, and much more. Because NHS funding only goes so far, the charity needs to raise around £1 million every year to keep these vital services running.
Why it matters:
Every pound raised helps ensure that people affected by life‑limiting illness or bereavement receive the care they need, whether in the hospice, at home, or in the community. Forest Holme’s support touches hundreds of families across Poole, Wimborne and the Isle of Purbeck every year.
So what are the DGF Dragons aiming for?
We may be small, but we’re mighty! With paddles in hand and team spirit at full throttle, the DGF Dragons are racing not just to win , but to make a real difference in support of Forest Holme’s mission.
